So I've been reading about Chef Scott Conant's amazeballs spaghetti and wanted to check it out.
Scarpetta's super low key entrance
Chic and dim inside.
What we had:
Assorted breads with citrus infused olive oil, eggplant kalamata spread, and mascarpone
We don't normally polish off the bread basket but theirs was yummy.
Especially their version of the stromboli. *^_^*
Spaghetti with tomato and basil
Duck & foie gras ravioli with a Marsala reduction
Zeppole (Italian doughnuts) with Nutella center, vanilla sauce & candied hazelnuts
Complimentary chocolate biscotti and lemon cookies
Thoughts:
Ok, the spaghetti was yummy but really nothing to write home about.
In fact between the two dishes, the duck ravioli was the real winner.
It was soo rich and delish!
The zeppole was good but I wish they were sweeter.
Service was really fantastic though.
We didn't get our bread until our entrees came (and only after telling the waiter) so the zeppole was on the house.
Oh and interesting tidbit: It seems to be quite popular with Asians.
Kinda reminded me of Bouchon...lol.
Our verdict?
Worth another trip :)
But wait there's more! Check out the view we had:
The Bellagio fountains!
What I wore:
Coat: H&M
Dress: Suzi Chin
Bag: Chanel
Shoes: Salvatore Ferragamo
I'm not too fond of this outfit b/c I think it makes me look older and maybe even a little preggers...lol. (I'm not btw)
Would heels and a different dress have made it better or no?
I feel like I'm still trying to figure out my own style and being open to constructive criticism gets me a step closer to that. :)
Oh and I apparently can't center myself in photos either...haha :o)
I took quite a few pics so there will be a part 3. (Last one...promise!)
P.S
For shits and giggles
I think it should be titled "Shit Hipsters in L.A Say" but the bit about parking?
SO true.

That ravioli looks great! And the view! I've been meaning to check out Scarpetta in NYC for the longest time but just never got around to it. I think it might be an unconscious thing that I have against Scott Conant. He comes off kinda jerky on Chopped. I know that has nothing to do with his restaurant but I'm just crazy like that lol. Happy weekend!
oh wow look so yummy, i would totally order that ravioli! and the view is gorgeous!
That was quick! ;)
The food looks delicious!!!
Ugh I still haven't had breakfast yet and I've been up for like 3 hours so I'm starving now! haha
I shouldn't really say anything because it's not like I'm fashionable or anything, but of course I can't help but say something, lol. I think it may just be a bit too much fabric. Maybe a dress that wasn't quite so long and possibly heels to the outfit.
I love watching those kinds of videos!! I swear just last night I was watching a bunch of videos in bed on my phone! hahaha Aylwin thought I was lame for being so entertained by them, I just really think they're kinda funny xD But eventually he wanted to go to sleep, so I stopped watching. Thanks for posting this one, I hadn't seen it yet. I feel like I'm rambling... :p
& no, I'm definitely not engaged. LOL! I just liked the sparkly white Minnie Mouse ears, even if they happened to be the bridal ears, HAHAHA. I wish ;) heheh jk!
<3,
Dana
What a great dinner date! Love the bread!
wow, that view is amazing!
i love all your vegas posts. i make mental notes of where i want to try if i ever make it to vegas again. :)
i have to watch that video when i get home!
Mmmm, yummy! Bread is my weakness. That stuffed bread (stromboli) would have gotten me in major trubz!!
I love that video! ;)

Duck ravioli!!! That sounds AMAZING! *A* (hungry)
I think what makes me come back to restaurants isn't necessarily the food, but the atmosphere! Food can be good or even just okay, but if the service is fantastic and the atmosphere is great, I'd definitely go again. :D
Increeedible view!
Hipsters, ugh!!! I'm glad the girl said, "I feel like she's a scientologist" because she clearly did not think it.
I like the look, but what do I know? I feel like I like it. LOL!
I'm not a foie gras fan, but the ravioli sounds good anyway. I want to try it on our next trip.
(The winning tickets should be in the pretty hands. =)
love your restaurant review! food looks good and yummy too! I need to get myself to Vegas soon.

"Coachella!" is all I've been hearing for the past month. And there really is never any parking anywhere. I hate it when I'm on a street with all street parking, and cars keep stopping to try and grab a spot. And I have to wait there while the car behind me keeps honking. Stressss o.O
The ravioli looks and sounds delicious! Next time I go to Vegas, I'm going to try and hit every restaurant you've deemed revisit worthy :D
Really love your coat and bag! For me personally, when an outfit isn't quite right, I just add heels. Maybe it's my proportions (super long torso and not that long calves), but I always feel like heels instantly make whatever I'm wearing 'work.'
omg that is the neatest little ball of spaghetti i've ever seen in my life!
the view alone would be worth going for me! i looove watching the Bellagio fountains even tho it's kinda the same every time. reminds me of Ocean's 11 lol
your outfit is super cute, but yes u look a taaad pregnant. i was quite giddy when i 1st saw but then read what followed hahahahaha
pass me some of those ravilolos! YUM YUM! that video is hilarious, i instantaneously watch 80s different version right afterwards! THEYRE FUNNY jeez, ppl online ARE SUCH TROLLS...IF IT MADE U LAFF GET OVR IT...anyways........^^()
YUMMMMMY PICS!! *o* I always catch up on your blog during the most unconveient times!
AHAHA...I just posted that same LA video too. The parking part was spot on though.
I am a huge fan of ravioli!! Esp the ones with cheese!! You looked fantastic!! Love the dress and the shoes!!
Have a good week!
xoxoxo
the food looks so pretty and yummy :3 and i love your dress :) thanks for the birthday wishes!
all the food look yummy. As life progress, needs and style change accordingly. Have fun finding your new style.
FOODDD. Why do you torment me with the delicious food. >.< Got me hungry again even though I literally just ate. hahahaha Cute outfit :)
All the food looks so delicious, but they seem small in quantity. :X I guess I eat too much... lol~
Maybe I am your mother?... haha j/k~ :P You don't need to get pregnant, you can adopt me. Better yet adopt me so I can go to Vegas often... lol~ :X
Thanks for the review! These food pics are giving me the munchies and it's nearly midnight lol Wow, definitely a spectacular view! I randomly ran across this video, last week, as well haha! Too funny! -A

It looks quite delicious! Those biscottis make me think about my trip to Rome..I miss actual Italian food ^-^
About your outfit, I'd say that it would have looked perfect with heels. (I really like the long dress + long coat combo !)
@ Carine
I miss you! Hope you decide to return to blogging. :)
i already saw that video, pretty funny! the food looks really good :D
Yum the pasta and the bread looks delicious!!
